Dr. Varaparsad Guduri (Dr. G) has built a rich and diverse career in veterinary medicine, grounded in his agricultural roots. His journey from India to North America is truly inspiring—marked by hard work, perseverance, and a passion for advancing his knowledge and skills. These qualities eventually led him to establish his own practice, Borchard Veterinary Clinic, Newbury Park, California.

Dr. G’s professional path reflects his deep dedication to the veterinary field, particularly in areas such as emergency medicine, dentistry, and surgery.

Equally meaningful is the way his family shares his commitment to healthcare—one of his sons is pursuing a career in human medicine as a Vascular Surgeon, while the other follows in his footsteps in veterinary medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. G enjoys spending quality time with his family and his beloved pet, Charlie, and stays active through hiking and bad Minton.

Dr. Yogesh Meka received his DVM in 2020 from a renowned university, PVNRTVU, in India. With his passion for veterinary medicine and applied research, he moved to the United States in 2021 and pursued his master's in Pharmaceutical Sciences, focusing on Microbiology, at Marshall University.

After receiving his M.S., he worked as a small animal surgery technician at Cary Animal Care in North Carolina and completed all the board exams under the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) program, administered by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). He is currently licensed to practice veterinary medicine in California. He brings his diverse expertise in veterinary medicine and applied research to our team.

Dr. Yogesh has dedicated his career to improving the health and well-being of pets and has a particular interest in dermatology and internal medicine. When he’s not in the clinic, he enjoys hiking and volunteering at local animal shelters. He enjoys watching movies, music, cooking, and traveling. He also likes to play badminton and racquetball.

Ashlee started with the clinic the beginning of 2023 as a veterinary assistant. She’s committed to providing compassionate care for your dogs and cats! In the future she plans to work in the medical field. In Ashlee’s free time, she enjoys gardening and playing slowpitch. From wagging tails to gentle purrs, Ashlee is dedicated to providing the best care for all animals that come into the clinic.

I have worked at Borchard Vet Clinic for over 18 years under the ownership of Dr. Larry Lowe. Although he has now retired and new ownership is taking place, I still consider this my home and the people who work here are family.

I devote my time and energy to making my job and responsibilities my main concern and try to do all the best I can. Learning new procedures and protocols is difficult but if you care about where you work you can make it work!

In my spare time, which is very little, I go to church and spend quiet time painting. Also have many small little people in the form of Dachshunds and they are mjy company when I am at home.

I also try to spend time with my lively granddaughter!
